TECHNICAL LEAD FOR INTERIORS

Daily Responsibilities

  • Develop a production schedule for construction documents adhering to OMNIPLAN standards

  • Manage production team maintaining firm standards and schedule 

  • Collaborate with design team to ensure seamless integration of design concepts

  • Review project program requirements and ensure all are met

  • Thoroughly review contract documents to ensure alignment with firm standards, mechanical and building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.

  • Identify and address any deviations or discrepancies that may arise during the review process.

  • Collaborate with senior technical staff and design teams to provide effective technical solutions for design challenges and dilemmas.

  • Manage projects through the contract administration phase, including conducting site visits, preparing comprehensive reports, and closely coordinating with general contractors.

  • Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders to ensure smooth progress and timely completion.

REVIT/BIM Champion:

  • Collaborating closely with the BIM manager and technology group to optimize software usage.

  • Conducting rigorous testing of software and providing valuable feedback for firm-wide standards.

  • Ensuring seamless integration of BIM processes by training staff, refining workflows, and troubleshooting challenges.

Sustainability Champion:

  • Crafting a comprehensive Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) aligned with AIA guidelines and the Framework for Design Excellence.

  • Fostering a cultural shift towards sustainable design within the organization.

  • Raising awareness among colleagues and emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices.

  • Designing and delivering internal education initiatives, including workshops and training sessions.

  • Incorporating new sustainable goals and milestones into design processes, ensuring alignment with our commitment to responsible design.

My role blends technical expertise with environmental consciousness, propelling OMNIPLAN's growth and contributing to a more sustainable future through innovative design practices.
