Sports, Entertainment and Hospitality Venues
Working on some of largest and most complicated projects in the world at the time, HKS offered exposure to incredibly unique design opportunities and challenges. Learning to operate on large teams with many moving parts, required quick comprehension and adoption of Revit modeling techniques and BIM conventions.
I actively worked within the interiors team focusing on creating impactful spaces that would create experiences for the guests and serve as revenue driving components in the overall venue. I learned to create spaces that understood the functionality requirements for extensive operational needs while balancing the understanding that these venues are places where people make memories and we were adding a a special layer of beauty to that experience.

Interior Design Intern
Hospitality
My first opportunity to work on a small design team. We focused on boutique hotels, creating strong concepts and developing the ideas into a full journey that linked all elements of the design and property together. I participated in and supported the team from concept development to documentation.
This position was an amazing opportunity to learn the process and gain exposure to working with clients to explore and develop their ideas and bring them to life.
